More Efficient, Less Expensive Government
Many candidates promise to lower taxes, but government spending continues to grow beyond our means every year. The tax burden on South Carolina citizens is too high. Sheri Few understands that you can not effectively lower taxes until you reduce the size of government. This is why she will work with Governor Sanford and other conservative leaders to provide more efficient government that costs taxpayers less, by streamlining and restructuring South Carolina government.

Improving Small Business Opportunities
South Carolina has one of the highest unemployment rates in the country. The majority of South Carolina jobs are provided by small businesses. Sheri Few and her husband are both small business owners and they know the strain of meeting every Friday’s payroll.  Sheri believes South Carolina government must do more to reduce the burden it places on these businesses. South Carolina must enact policy to provide more jobs with better compensation and benefits for small business employees.

Improving Public Education
The talk about education reform has gone on for decades. Committees, panels and experts have prescribed many different solutions for the declining achievement of our children. With classroom spending at an all time high, South Carolina students should have seen positive change by now. Sheri Few supports innovative solutions to the current education crisis. As a South Carolina State Representative she will propose plans that demand more funding goes directly to classroom expenditures instead of the bloated bureaucracy and prioritize merit pay for teachers.

Valuing Life
Sheri Few affirms that life is the first inalienable right and believes that all human life, born and unborn, has intrinsic value. Sheri is a proven leader in the pro-life community. She helped to start the crisis pregnancy center in her community and volunteered there for several years. Sheri Few was endorsed by the South Carolina Citizens for Life two years ago and looks forward to their endorsement again this year.

Honoring Veterans and Active Duty Personnel
Sheri Few has strong family roots with the military. This firsthand knowledge of the sacrifices made by members of our Armed Forces makes Sheri a tireless advocate for our veterans and active duty personnel.  Sheri will work to ensure they are treated with the dignity and respect they deserve through protecting and enhancing military quality of life, VA funding, and military retirees.

Protecting the Second Amendment
When the founders of our country set out to frame the Constitution, they made certain to include in the list of inalienable rights, the right to bear arms. Sheri Few believes this fundamental freedom must be protected. Sheri will stand up to those who would seek to jeopardize our God given rights, and we can count on Sheri Few to always protect and defend our right to bear arms.

Defending South Carolina’s Families
The traditional American family is the essential basic unit of our society. Sheri Few will promote any governmental actions which strengthen the family core. Strengthening the family unit and encouraging couples to take their commitment to marriage more seriously, will continue to promote a more stable society.

Illegal Immigration 
The federal government has failed to address the staggering problems related to illegal immigration thereby forcing states to respond. While states are somewhat limited in their jurisdiction in this matter, there are policies that can be enacted that will discourage illegal immigration into South Carolina.  Policies similar to those adopted by neighboring states can dissuade illegals from settling in South Carolina.  Sheri Few will help to make sure that these laws are passed in our state to make sure that we do not become a magnet or sanctuary for illegal immigration.
